Bamboo Plants Have Many Uses
The bamboo plant is part of the true grass family of plants. These are found in a many regions of the world from cold to warm climates. The sizes and variety of the bamboo plant is plentiful, ranging from the giant bamboos up to several smaller varieties. Many countries purposely cultivate bamboo for commercial uses.
The Bamboo Plant Make Up
The bamboo is a hardy plant that can withstand heat and some species can also bear cold weather. Most bamboo plants have the same physical characteristics, which are segmented or partitioned stalks with stems erupting from the bases of each partition or segment. The leaves of the bamboo are almond shaped tapering to a pointed end. Some bamboos have yellow stems while other have black or green stems holding up the leaves. Even the some stalks have either yellow or green coloring.
