Hydrogen peroxide is supposed to convert to dissolved oxygen. It is also supposed to inhibit new algae growth; one way to introduce hydrogen peroxide into your pond is by using barley straw. You must do this BEFORE you see algae; it won’t kill existing algae. I have never personally known anyone who had success with barley straw in their pond, though. I’m going to read up on this, as I have a pea-green pond right now and my usual methods aren’t clearing it!
have never heard of using peroxide in a pond. if you are trying to rid your pond of algae this is what I have done after years of using chemicals and barley bundles. i have gotten a UV light system that the water passes through before entering the filter system, then the water returning to the pond.

It prevents mold.
Never heard of it…I would think that it takes care of the scum growth. I could be wrong though!
never heard of that.
